Tamara Helfer, MD completed her Residency and Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University Health system in Richmond, VA. She is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who cares for children and adolescents with a wide range of psychiatric issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, autism, and mood/psychotic disorders. Dr. Helfer is also a TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) provider treating patients at Sage Health Care,.

Dr. Helfer is a member and owner of Sage Health Care, PLLC, the largest physician owned psychiatric group in Idaho and is the medical director of the adolescent unit at Cottonwood Creek Behavioral Hospital.
